Mr. Ridha Omar

Now I want to talk about one of the Graphics and Multimedia (GM) lecturer which is Mr. Ridha Omar. He is Deputy HOD for GM faculty which is one of the departments in College of Information Technology (IT). He teach me Computer Modeling and Creativity last semester which is my second semester in degree. Actually he is such a nice lecturer who likes to help students and very friendly too. Normally if i faced any problem not only about studies, I will go and meet him to get an advice from him. Moreover, his class is very enjoyable because he likes to make jokes in class and share some of his experience which is interesting so that i don't feel sleepy in the class. However, I enjoyed his class nicely.

Mr. Ridha Omar achieved   two academic qualifications which are Bachelor of Computer Science and MIT (Computer Science). He is now a senior lecturer in UNITEN which teaching Computer Modeling and Creativity, Multimedia System Interface Design and Social and Professional Issues.

He also has done his researches:

• Usability study between Tangible and Graphical User Interface Design in Computer Augmented Reality Environment.
• Realistic Visual Cues for Synthetic Computer Generated Objects in Computer Augmented Reality Environment.
• The development of a test-bed system using Augmented Reality technique for teaching Engineering Drawing to form 4 and form 5 students in Malaysian Vocational Schools.
• Computer Augmented Reality Engineering Mechanics Learning System (CAREMeLS).
• A Software Engineering Tool for Process Modeling and Software Risk Management.

Mr. Ridha has won two awards which are Anugerah Kreatif dan Inovatif (Kolej IT) - HARI INOVASI 2011 and also Anugerah Kepimpinan (Kolej IT) - UNITEN Management Best Practice and Teaching Quality Awards 2009.
